Sorry for the English language: Mein Deutsch is furchtbar!
I was diagnosed with cutaneous - discoid - skin lupus in 2003 after cycling across Australia.
When I decided to ride around America, I could make a difference. My lupus was not as bad as SLE.
I represented the Lupus Foundation of America and the Alliance for Lupus Research for 156 days and over 9000 miles/14,000 kilometres.
I've promoted lupus in Australia by speaking at World Lupus Month seminars. I wish to return to Europe and Deutschland as I love travel and writing and photography.
I'm writing two books about my journey and I hope to promote lupus awareness when they are published in 2009.

I am very nervous now - I have to remember my high-school Deutsch!
I would love to return to Deutschland and Europe to raise awareness for lupus.
To many others reading this, please forgive me for the English language. I wanted to 'meet' others with lupus in many countries.

willkommen in Forum ! mein englisch ist nicht so toll deswegen schreibe ich dir deutsch.mein deutsch ist auch nicht perfekt aber kein mensch hier versteht meine muttersprache...(finnisch) ich denke mal du verstehst das mit deinen schuldeutsch!
